The History of Mr. Polly (1980) was an adaptation by James Andrew Hall of H. G. Wells' charming work of that name. It starred Andrew Sachs as Mr. Polly and involved Emrys James and other notables. It was one of my favourite pieces to do, with the Edwardian setting prompting some music very much in the manner of the time. Perhaps I flatter myself.
